Northern Pride

The Northern Pride is the largest free LGBT festival in the UK. It was held on Newcastle Town Moor and attracted over 35,000 visitors. I was asked by artist and event management company Moulin Music to take photographs of the artists on the main stage.

Pictured L-R,  Annabel Pattinson, Kitty Brucknell and Belinda Carlisle.

Yorkshire Three Peaks

Trekking over 24 miles a group of employees from Npower took on the challenge of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, each peak is over 700 feet. It was all for a fantastic cause, Macmillan Cancer Support. I was there for 2 days to cover the event for local and national press.

Lee Paul

I’ve seen Lee Paul play a few times live so was delighted when I was asked to photograph him. Lee is a great singer / songwriter from the North East and performs all over the country. The Lee Paul band is in the top 10 national country artists in the UK. If you get a chance to see them- Go.

RVI

Another press shot today this time at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle. They have just taken delivery of a new scanner which can take 3D images of internal organs. The images show the organs and blood vessels as they appear so that every detail of their function can be examined. They can also be rotated so that they can be viewed from every angle.  So yes, their camera is better than mine but I’m sure it cost a bit more.

Storm Ahead

With all of the mixed weather that we have been having I was set to take some photographs for a client on the quayside in Newcastle. Unfortunately this was postponed at the last minute due to the imminent rain. Not to be outdone and for it to be a wasted journey, I could see the storm approaching and the clouds about to pass over the Sage Gateshead. This made a great opportunity to photograph in black & white. One for the portfolio.

Interiors

A day photographing interiors, for IA Builders of Newcastle today. As this fine home was nearing completion photographs were needed to show the stunning quality of the work for the companies future advertising. The colour temperature of the lighting was quite mixed so additional lights had to be used but still needed to keep the warm look of the home.
